Coleshill Heath School

CColeshill Heath School is a caring community,

H – offering a hard working and happy environment

S – enabling children to feel secure and enjoy educational success.

Coleshill Heath School is a large two form entry primary school at the heart of its community.

Our school vision is to ensure that all our children receive an exceptional, inclusive, innovative, personal education.  We aim for all our children to have the aspiration to achieve and succeed educationally, socially, personally and physically, being prepared for their future challenges.

Coleshill Heath School is well known for the sport opportunities it provides for children to take part in. We are able to develop pupils’ attributes in a wide range of alternative sporting opportunities. Our Indoor Rowing suite provides excellent participation for pupils at Coleshill Heath, for pupils across North Solihull and participants on a wider County level. We also have high levels of participation in Squash where we have developed one of the biggest youth sections in the West Midlands.  Advanced Table Tennis equipment and resources also allow pupils the best opportunity to engage and achieve in such a wide variety of sports.

Our Gold Standard award with the Youth Sport Trust, Kitemark Award and recent case study for the Department of Education’s ‘best practice project’ has recently demonstrated that pupils excel at Coleshill Heath in relation to Physical Education and School Sport creating high levels of achievement through maximum participation.

Upon entering Key Stage 2, pupils are given the opportunity to learn how to play a brass instrument. This specialist teaching has enabled Coleshill Heath pupils to perform at the annual county-wide ‘Brass Blast’ concert at Warwick Arts Centre. As the only school in North Solihull to have continual access to brass instruments, children are able to further extend their musical ability as they progress through the school.
