The Coleshill School

The Coleshill School is a community secondary school with a rich history (dating back to 1520) and a modern and innovative curriculum and outlook.

Innovations during the last year have included mixed age vertical tutoring and the introduction of a three year Key Stage 4; the three year Key Stage 4 from Year 9 to Year 11 is aimed at encouraging students to experience deep and creative learning.  As a workplace, staff recruitment, induction and on-going training are priorities.  There is a relentless focus on ensuring the quality of teaching is always good and outstanding and no teacher is appointed to the school who does not teach a good or outstanding lesson on interview.

The school’s motto is ‘learning and achieving together’.  A safe, purposeful atmosphere, combined with high expectations, will enable students to enjoy the experiences that we can offer.  The Leadership Team, Governors and staff are committed to providing the highest quality of education possible and working with parents and carers to ensure every student achieves their potential.  We believe that success in education relies upon a positive relationship between parents / carers, the school and the community.  As well as ensuring the best possible academic results, we aim to develop students’ personal and social qualities which are so vital when preparing them for the responsibilities of adult life in a rapidly changing world.
